UPDATE: The proposal was granted planning permission by a government minister on January 30th 2023, following the public inquiry.

The mosque is urgently needed to provide a place of worship and a meeting place for local Muslims in North Preston. It will also be a landmark building providing wider benefits to people of all faiths and backgrounds in the area and become a place where we can come together in friendship.

The project and its award-winning design received the backing of the City Council’s planning committee, but there is another obstacle to overcome:  a public inquiry which will be held in August. We hope you will work with us to makes sure the project has as much support as possible in the next few months.
